Let’s discuss in more detail what exactly does ecological rest mean? First of all, it is rest in union with nature. After all, it is from nature that we draw strength and energy. Wedding events and banquets in the Carpathians: convenient hotels and restaurants for organising an unforgettable celebration

Wedding events and banquets in the Carpathians: convenient hotels and restaurants for organising an unforgettable celebration

All Ukrainians associate 2022 exclusively with the beginning of a full-scale war. This is a year that is full of many emotions, from suffering to true love. According to psychologists, people make decisions faster and change their lives or way of life in critical situations.

According to statistics from the OpenDataBot, the highest number of marriages in the last 7 years was registered in 2022. Their number reached almost 104 thousand in the first half of 2022. So, love conquers all obstacles, even war.

Most young couples choose restaurants or hotels for intimate weddings. The atmosphere, close people and harmonious music are important to lovers. Trends have also changed in the selection of locations: future spouses choose remote locations instead of restaurants in the city centre.

What should you pay attention to when choosing a venue for a wedding or banquet?

1. You shouldn’t choose by looking at pictures, but come to the location and get to know it, feel how the atmosphere around you is suitable for celebrating the most important day in the life of a young couple.
2. Get acquainted with the banquet menu. Understand what kind of content awaits your guests.
3. Get to know the administration: the chef, restaurant manager or conference manager who will accompany your holiday. At TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa**** we care about your comfortable communication with our staff, so you discuss all issues with one person who will manage your holiday from the first meeting to the end of the event.
4. Discuss organisational issues: decor, photo zone, buffet area and the most important area – the place of signing. If you like everything, then you have found “your” place.
5. We recommend that you think through all the details in advance so that you are not disturbed by various trifles during the event. Another important, but not visible person at the event is the coordinator. His main task is to think through all the details and monitor the implementation of all the tasks.
6. You should also pay attention to the buffet tables. After all, the variety of confectionery products is now simply off scale and you need to choose those to whom you will entrust your holiday.

Not only weddings… For example, couples come to TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa to celebrate their wedding anniversary or to celebrate their own or their children’s birthdays. This is already a common history and we are extremely pleased that you entrust your special dates to us.

We can offer a variety of dishes to celebrate a banquet. There is also a “chef’s speciality” option, where our chef will definitely surprise you with a combination of exquisite taste and special presentation. Our conference manager will come up with the content of your holiday, offer artists or musicians for every taste.б

The highlight of our complex is the location. So just imagine how beautifully you can spend time outdoors, admiring the views of the Carpathians and tasting delicious dishes. This is definitely possible if you choose a grill terrace for your celebration. It is there that unity with nature and food tasting go in perfect tandem. We can also offer street food on the territory of the complex or on the banks of the Stryi River.

In fact, our team can arrange any celebration, taking into account all your wishes and even the most creative ideas. The main thing is that you and your loved ones will remember your holiday!

Gastronomic experiences in the Carpathians: national dishes, restaurants and culinary festivals

Gastronomic experiences in the Carpathians: national dishes, restaurants and culinary festivals

As soon as you plan a trip to the Carpathians, something related to cuisine and delicious Ukrainian dishes will definitely come to mind. After all, Ukrainians are famous for their good appetite and variety of dishes. From the masterpiece Ukrainian borsch to the appetizing pampushkas. An interesting fact is that Ukrainian cuisine contains a lot of vegetables, much more than in other neighboring countries. This is due to the fact that the Ukrainian land is very fertile and produces large crops.

Also, according to a survey of foreigners, it is worth noting that culinary tourism is the top reason to visit Ukraine. So let’s take a closer look at the world of Ukrainian cooking.

National dishes

Ukrainian cooking has many recipes: various borscht, including pampushky, dumplings, mushroom soup, banush, dumplings and sausages, the well-known palyanytsia, yavoriv pie, roasts and drinks made from fruit and honey. All these dishes are known outside of Ukraine, they are loved by foreigners, and our people are famous for them.

Did you know that the Yavoriv pie is planned to be included in the UNESCO cultural heritage list? It is a dough pie with potato and buckwheat filling. Recipes for the pie are passed down from generation to generation. Do you know what Shpundra is? It is an old Ukrainian dish mentioned in Kotliarevskyi’s famous work The Aeneid. This dish was considered a delicacy and was always present on the tables of nobles. It is meat fried in lard and then stewed in beet kvass with beets. It was this dish that the chef of TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa treated guests of the complex on New Year’s Eve 2023****. And what could be better than banush with mushroom sauce? This is corn grits cooked with milk and cream. It goes perfectly with bacon, cheese or mushroom sauce. This dish is very satisfying and tasty and can be found on the menu of TAOR restaurant.

Restaurants

Western Ukraine is famous for its themed restaurants. You will find many Galician dishes in even the smallest restaurants in Lviv. You will be greeted with the words “Glory to Ukraine” in Kryivka, then you will find yourself in the museum of kerosene lamps in the Gasova Lampa restaurant, and the Bachevsky restaurant will surprise you with a variety of Ukrainian dishes. But if you want to visit the Carpathians, be sure to visit a restaurant with a variety of Ukrainian dishes – TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa****. It is here that the beauty of the mountains combined with delicious cuisine will create a great mood. Create for yourself a cozy vacation combined with a gastronomic variety of dishes: from smoked bacon to machanka with porcini mushrooms.

Culinary festivals

There are a lot of culinary festivals in Ukraine, so let’s take a look at them first:

  • Lviv Coffee Festival
  • National Sorochyntsi Fair, Velyki Sorochyntsi
  • Festival of national cuisine, Lutsk
  • Strawberry Festival, Odesa
  • Street food, Kyiv
  • Wine and honey festival, Uzhhorod
  • “With love to lard”, Lutsk
  • Chocolate Festival, Lviv

All these festivals bring together hundreds of people. At the festivals, people taste delicious food, listen to good music, and hold fairs. It is always a reason for a good mood. At TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa ****, in 2022, we held a craft festival to raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The event featured street food with tasting of various Ukrainian dishes, performances by folk ensembles, and local producers had the opportunity to present their work. Most importantly, these are all works of love!

What to celebrate in spring: usual and unusual holidays

March 28 is the Day of Food on a Stick.

History does not know the exact inventor of this way of eating, but it has become an integral part of our lives: ice cream, barbecue, salty and sweet canapes, and more.

That’s why, in honor of the Food on a Stick Day, we always have a list of various delicacies that, as it turns out, can be strung on skewers.

On April 7, the whole world celebrates World Health Day, which was established in honor of the creation, or rather the adoption of the World Health Organization (WHO) charter in 1948.

“Good health!” – this is how our compatriots greet each other, and when they say goodbye, they say “Be healthy!” wishing health and almost never thinking about how much meaning is inherent in these words.

However, in addition to wishing you to be healthy, you need to take care of it. Health improvement procedures, active recreation – all this can be found in the TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa****

April 9 – Palm Sunday

Spend this festive day at TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa****! Attend a master class on decorating willow branches, make a rabbit out of pussy willow and spend a fun evening of outdoor entertainment with music.

On this day, we hold events aimed at improving the environment, cleaning water sources, landscaping and disseminating environmental knowledge. This certificate certifies that the company uses environmentally friendly products for its activities, is socially responsible, cares about its customers and the environment.

April 16 – Easter

The Resurrection of Christ is the brightest and most important holiday of spring. “Christ is risen! He is truly risen!” we hear on this day. People attend services and bless Easter baskets on this bright holiday. Usually, Easter eggs and pysankas, cakes, meat, sausage, cheese, butter, salt, and horseradish are put into the basket. After the blessing of the Easter baskets, we invite you to taste street food from the chef of TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa restaurant**** and support Ukrainian traditions with hayrides and outdoor activities.

May 14 – Mother’s Day

This day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May in Ukraine. This is one of the most touching holidays, because each of us from childhood to our last days carries in our souls the only and unique image of our mother, who understands everything, forgives, always pities and will selflessly love no matter what. Present your loved ones with a real Carpathian fairy tale among the mountains at TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa**** and thank them for their care and sincere mother’s love!

May 15 – International Family Day

Very often, modern families spend a lot of time working, studying, watching TV, surfing the Internet, having hobbies, etc. As a result, time spent with parents and children is minimized. Family is a great happiness! We suggest you go to the mountains and spend time with fragrant Carpathian tea with your nearest and dearest. Spring holidays 2023

Spring holidays 2023

Despite the war in Ukraine, students continue to receive secondary education. Most educational institutions are operating in a remote format in the 2022-2023 school year. However, spring break is scheduled for March 25-April 2. The duration of the school holidays will be 9 days.

What are school holidays? It’s a period of time free from school or other activities. For schoolchildren, it means days without lessons, classes, or homework.

Of course, you can just waste time with your phone and play computer games, but spring is the time when nature awakens, and the best solution during this period is to wake up with it.

TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa**** is an incredible place to relax with children in the midst of nature. It is located in the heart of the Carpathians on the banks of the Stryi River, 110 km from Lviv and only 9 km from Skhidnytsia.

Varieties of accommodation in eco-cottages allow you to choose a convenient option for the family, including staying with animals.

The price includes:

  • breakfast,
  • use of the aqua zone (adult and children’s pools, jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, hammam),
  • a fairy-tale hut with an animator and a rich children’s program,
  • doctor’s consultation,
  • mineral water pump room.

Many parents have faced the problem of organizing their children’s leisure time during joint holidays. TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa**** is always happy to welcome guests with children! We have taken care of the leisure of young vacationers by organizing holidays for different preferences and for any weather!

The children’s playground is a place for fantasies and active activities, playing football and basketball.

A fairy tale hut with an animator will help parents to go about their business or relax, and children to have a good time, make new friends, and create a unique masterpiece with their own hands by attending various master classes.

Is your soul asking for an active vacation? Then a bike ride is the best way to spend time relaxing, exercising, and even meditating a little.

We recommend that extreme sports enthusiasts and height climbers visit the rope park to test their strength, confidence, endurance and courage, forget about time and recharge with incredible emotions.

If you want to test your accuracy, ability to concentrate and hit the target, try archery.

Do you celebrate your birthday during the holidays? We have a special offer for birthday people.

Children are usually expected to be at their peak of activity and in high spirits. However, often schoolchildren, on the contrary, are not very active or show a decrease in activity during the school period, after an illness or for other reasons. To relieve stress and have a good rest, we recommend visiting children’s spa treatments and programs that include massages, baths, and inhalations. These procedures will help not only relax but also strengthen the immune system.

We will be glad to see you at TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa****!

After all, you can get a boost of drive by riding jeeps or skiing at the Pylypets ski resort, or by steaming in the vats in the village Lumshors. This village is also called the homeland of the Carpathian chans. The cost of the procedure is from 500 UAH.

Some hotel complexes have their own thermal deposits. Such are Eco Thermal, Zayvoronok, Derenivska Kupil. • The price of a room for 2 people for 1 day is from UAH 2,000 with breakfast, but the more usual price is 3,150 UAH with breakfast.
  • It is also necessary to immediately clarify whether the aqua zone is included in the price of accommodation. Halloween celebration. Halloween in Carpathian style

Halloween celebration. Halloween in Carpathian style

Halloween is a holiday that is celebrated every year on October 31st, and Halloween 2022 will be on Monday, October 31st. The tradition comes from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and dress up in costumes to ward off ghosts. Eventually, Halloween became a day of active activities such as entertainment, lantern carving, holiday gatherings, dressing up in costumes and eating treats.

All Saints’ Day lasts one night. In ancient times, people believed that on October 31, all evil forces wake up and, turning into animals, wander among us. Moreover, there is a version that spirits often come to their former homes to check how the new owners are behaving.
On Halloween, it is customary to make a scary pika from a pumpkin and leave it on the doorstep or windowsill of the house. On the night of October 31, children change into scary costumes and knock on neighbors’ apartments, saying: “Wallet or life!” or “Candy or death!”. This means that if they are not given sweets or money, trouble awaits the person who refused.
A vegetable product made by many people who celebrate Halloween is called a jack-o-lantern. And the most important attribute of the holiday has its own history.

In addition to the symbol of the holiday – a pumpkin with a candle, its important attribute is “terrible” costumes. They imitate evil power and are therefore performed in red and black colors, often in the form of hoodies with a hood. The most popular images are vampires, werewolves, witches.
Children also dress up as movie characters or famous personalities and walk around the yards, “scaring” the owners and demanding sweets.
On Halloween, it is customary to prepare sweet dishes from apples: caramel, syrup, marshmallows, candies in the form of corn. Traditionally, barmbrek bread is prepared – an Irish pastry with raisins and grapes. Peas, chips, coins, a ring and cloth are added to the dough. The one to whom which item got into the bread predicts the future. A pea says that you shouldn’t wait for a quick wedding, a cod predicts troubles in the family, a coin – to prosperity, a ring says about a quick wedding, and a cloth – predicts lack of money.

On the eve of Halloween, it’s time to immerse yourself in mysticism and secrets. If you are looking for a place to go on October 30 and 31 with your family, children, significant other, friend or girlfriend, then you have come to the right address. In TAOR Karpaty Resort & Spa**** there will be themed events in honor of Halloween and we We are happy to share this interesting information with you. It will not do without a spooky program that will make your vacation twice as pleasant during this period.
What should be done on the night of the holiday and the day before
All Saints’ Day lasts only one night, but it should be spent productively. It is customary to prepare scary costumes in advance, dress up in them and have fun celebrating.
A scary peak is cut out of the pumpkin, inserting a candle inside. The craft is called “Jack’s lamp”. It can be left on the doorstep or windowsill of the house.
People in need walk the streets, knock on the doors of apartments and houses, uttering the phrase “Wallet or life!” or “Candy or death!”
If you refuse such a request, trouble may fall on your family and home.

Beer festival. Where the international beer day is held

Beer festival. Where the international beer day is held

International Beer Day celebrates the taste of beer and the achievements of brewers.

Beer is an ancient alcoholic beverage brewed primarily from malted barley, hops, yeast, and water, although it can be brewed from other grains such as corn, wheat, and rice. Records of beer date back to 4000 BC, making it one of the oldest alcoholic beverages in the world.

The three stated goals of International Beer Day are to appreciate brewers, enjoy the taste of all beers from around the world, and unite the world under the banner of beer. Founded in 2007 by the California Brewers Association, International Beer Day has become an international event celebrated in more than 50 countries around the world.

A multicultural drink

Beer is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting the sugars found in cereal grains such as wheat or barley. Many types of beer around the world are brewed using hops, herbs or fruits that add flavor to the drink.

Believed to be the oldest drink in the world and still consumed today, beer has been drunk by almost every culture in the world throughout human history. Today, beer is the third most consumed beverage in the world after water and tea.
